Waikato Home & Garden Show Terms & Conditions of Entry 


General Terms and Conditions Applicable to all attendees

1.1. Registration

All visitors to the Waikato Home & Garden Show are required to register their tickets online or upon entry. All completed registrations will go in the draw to win the door prize.


1.2. Event Cancellation Policy
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Waikato Home & Garden Show reserves the right to cancel or change any event activity. Waikato Home & Garden Show does not accept any liability for any accommodation, travel or associated bookings or costs made or incurred by any event attendee.

1.3. Refunds & Returns
All transactions are final. No refunds are permitted, except as required by law. Tickets will be transferred to new event dates should the event be postponed within a 12 month period. If the event is cancelled, tickets will be refunded (excluding transaction fees and a $2 refund fee).

1.4. Onsite Payment Policy
Accepted onsite payment method is by credit card (Visa, Mastercard or American Express) or cash. Credit card transactions will appear on your statement from 
XPO Exhibitions or LUP, the authorised registration providers for the Waikato Home & Garden Show.

1.5. Waikato Home & Garden Show Right to Cancel Ticket and Refuse Entry
• Waikato Home & Garden Show reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel any ticket.
• Waikato Home & Garden Show also reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reasonably refuse entry to any person to Waikato Home & Garden Show. 

1.6. Event Schedule

• XPO Exhibitions reserves the right to change any event schedules without notification due to unforeseen circumstances.

1.7. Visitors promoting own business
• Visitors agree they will not promote their products or services to exhibitors while attending the show. Visitors found in breach of this rule may be asked to leave the event immediately and be refused entry to future shows.


1.8. Tickets
• For the purposes of Waikato Home & Garden Show, Tickets are defined as an event card bearing identifying information such as a person’s name, company name and serves as the attendee’s entry ticket. 
• Tickets can be pre-purchased online or purchased upon entry at the Waikato Home & Garden Show.
• For safety and security reasons, it is a requirement of the visitor to have their ticket at all times whilst at the event. 
• If you scan your ticket at an exhibitor's stand, you are giving consent for them to contact you. 


1.9. Waikato Home & Garden Show Privacy Policy
Waikato Home & Garden Show values your feedback and privacy. By purchasing a ticket to attend Waikato Home & Garden Show and/or using the event network, your personal information may be collected and used by Waikato Home & Garden Show 
(which includes disclosure to third parties) for the purposes of processing your ticket, conducting Waikato Home & Garden Show, allowing you to access to the Event network, and for publicity purposes surrounding the Waikato Home & Garden Show. You consent to the use of your personal information as described. You may access and/or change your data by following the procedures set out in Waikato Home & Garden Show’s privacy policy. 

1.10. Photography and Filming Policy
During the Event, you may be photographed or filmed and the images or footage may be used for internal and external promotional purposes. By attending the event you automatically consent to XPO Exhibitions and event partners using photography and video in which you may appear for future marketing.

1.11. Waikato Home & Garden Show Code of Conduct
XPO Exhibitions does not tolerate harassing or disrespectful behaviour, messages, images, or interactions by any participant, in any form, at any aspect of the program including business and social activities, regardless of location.

We do not tolerate any behaviour that is degrading to any gender, race, sexual orientation or disability, or any behaviour that would violate the company's 
Anti-Harassment and Anti-Discrimination Policy, Equal Employment Opportunity Policy, or Standards of Business Conduct.

We encourage everyone to assist in creating a welcoming and safe environment. Please report any concerns, harassing behaviour, or suspicious or disruptive activity to event management. Waikato Home & Garden Show reserves the right to refuse admittance to, or remove any person from an event at any time at its sole discretion. 

1.12. Guarantees
These Terms and Conditions do not, nor do they purport to, limit, exclude or modify any non-excludable statutory guarantees provided under the 
Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), or any other warranties (whether express or implied) under any state or federal legislation which cannot be excluded.

1.13. Compliance
Waikato Home & Garden Show reserves the right to eject individuals from the Waikato Home & Garden Show for misbehaviour and/or non-compliance with these Terms.

1.14. Liability
Except for any liability that cannot be excluded, Waikato Home & Garden Show excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of your participation in the Waikato Home & Garden Show or any associated activities. 

1.15. GST
All rates are displayed as cost (not including GST) + GST (GST cost only) unless where otherwise specified.

1.16. Receipts
Digital transaction receipts will be provided to all attendees paying via credit card as soon as the transaction has been completed. If for some reason you do not see a copy of your digital transaction receipt on your screen post successful completion of credit card payment, please contact operations@waikatohomeshow.co.nz.

1.17. Identification
Valid identification may be required for ticketed attendees. Acceptable forms of ID include a valid passport or driver’s license.

1.18. Accompanied Minors
All minors aged 18 years old and under attending Waikato Home & Garden Show must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

1.19. Vaccine requirements

Under the COVID-19 Protection Framework, it is required by the New Zealand Government that all attendees over the age of 12 are to be fully vaccinated and verify their My Vaccine Pass to attend this event. If you cannot verify your vaccination upon arrival, you will not be permitted entry. Only unvaccinated individuals under the age of 12 or those with a valid Vaccine Exemption Certificate will be exempt from this ruling. Attendees may also be asked to show ID to validate vaccination or exemption passes. Tickets will not be refunded to those who are denied entry. Mask wearing is encouraged onsite, although not mandatory. 

GENERAL

You confirm that the information you have entered is completely accurate, and in particular you have taken care to ensure that your email address is correctly entered.

You agree and consent to your personal information being utilised for current and future competitions, draws, lotteries and promotions by the promoters and exhibitors of the Show.

You agree and consent to, for promotional purposes, us providing the information you have entered into any electronic form on your site to entities/businesses attached, related, affiliated or associated to the Event, including but not limited to the Event Organiser, presenters, sponsors, exhibitors and suppliers.

You agree that by entering into any competitions at the Event, that you agree and consent to your personal information being utilised by such competition for the competition purposes and the promoter of the competition and authorise the publication of your details as they relate to the competition.

You agree that we will not be liable to you, except in the case of fraud, for any act or omission (whether negligent or misleading or deceptive or otherwise) by us in the performance or purported performance of our obligations under these terms and conditions.

You indemnify you against all claims, except in the case of fraud, arising out of or in any way connected with any act or omission by us in the performance or purported performance of our obligations under these terms and conditions.

You agree that liability on our part or on the part of our servants or agents for damages for or in respect of any claim arising out of or in connection with the relationship established by this agreement or any conduct under it or any orders or instructions given to us by you , shall not in any event (and whether or not such liability results from or involves negligence) exceed $50.00.

You agree that by entering information into any electronic form on our site, that you are agreeing to the terms and conditions herein and to the Disclaimer.
