2015 Take a Journey in the Space Module

Innovative design on show in The Space Module at The Waikato Home& Garden Show

'Innovation' is the inspiration for the 2015 edition of The Space Module at The Waikato Home & Garden Show, an annual journey of discovery featuring the latest home interiors, furniture, colour and technology from an array of New Zealand’s top residential product and service specialists.

Created by Sonya Cotter Design, The Space Module is designed to challenge traditional concepts of kitchen, bedroom and bathroom design, breaking down pre-conceived ideas of what a home should look like and reinterpreting how we use materials, finishes and furniture elements.

This year, The Innovation Space describes a free way of living, with technology that reflects a trend towards 'authentic imitation' in products, making features more durable and often more affordable; use of patterns and textures in unexpected places create a connectedness to the outdoors; and furniture placement in living spaces as well as in the bathroom, reflecting innovation and surprising logic.

Collaborators include Sonya Cotter Design, Smeg, Laminex, Resene, Blum, Automation Associates, Hunter Furniture, Caroma, Franke, Image Glass, J A Russell, Billi, Seneca Textiles, ASB and Cavalier Bremworth.

New this year visitors have the added opportunity to WIN THE ULTIMATE HOME MAKEOVER, including design consultations with Sonya Cotter and partner products valued at over $10,000. The competition launches 26th August. To enter visit www.thespacemodule.com or take a tour of The Space Module at the event.
