Make the most of your garden this season and get your hands dirty in the NEW Garden Workshops. You'll learn hot tips from garden experts like how to correctly prune roses to creating your own mushroom compost.

Mushroom composting
11am-11:30am

Discover how you can compost using mushrooms with Mike Roach from Roach's Nurseries.

Kids Workshop - Grass Heads!
11:45am-12:15pm

Brought the kiddies along for the day? At 11:45am - 12:15pm bring them along to our Grass Head workshop, where they will construct a grass head which they can take home and watch grow!

 

Please be vigilant with your children when handling potting mix. Make sure you thoroughly wash hands with soap and water after contact with potting mix.

Give your garden the X factor, that requires very little ongoing maintenance. Hear from Graeme, a seasoned landscaper, who has a wealth of experience in the industry, on which plants are recommended and which ones to stay away from. What’s more you’ll get tips on how to tie all your landscaping together so that it has style and the same time is very easy to care for.

New Zealand’s varied environmental conditions can be challenging but by following some simple steps you’ll be well on your way to growing a faultless Iris bloom.

If you have roses, you'll need to join this garden workshop on how and when to prune your roses to tip top shape!

Join Amy from Amy's Flower as she talks through how to take cut flowers and foliage from the garden and arrange them beautifully in a vase.

Residential tree care
3:45pm-4:15pm

Arborist Chris Corfe will be presenting from Marc Doyle Treeworks. Focusing on the importance of tree care in residential areas, with health and safety of trees and people in mind. Common issues with trees, how these issues are remedied and prevent them from reoccurring.
