Tejas grew up in Mumbai, India and says his interest in food began early by watching his father cooking at home.
He's worked alongside Peter Gordon at Orbit, The Sugar Club before being the head chef at Zealong Estate and Vices & Virtues in Christchurch. Since Covid-19, Tejas has now moved back to the Waikato where he took up the challenge to open a new steakhouse in Hamilton named Paddock to Plate Waikato.
